Writer/Director/Actor

Alessia is an afro-italian filmmaker. Her stories focus on anti-conformist characters discovering themselves, with a focus on young people and interpersonal relationships. She is a BFI Creative Development Scheme alumni and former Project Manager  Trainee/Film Programmer at Balik Arts. Her script ‘Missing Frames’ was shortlisted for the Barnstorm Writing competition and long listed for the Slick Films Fund competition. She recently directed two short films ‘Dark Forest’ and ‘Barely Legal’. She was the 1st Assistant Director of Love Hides In The Open, a feature film by Brian Finucane and, acted in short film Bad Habit, winner of the Shadwell Society fund prize.
